Every day we are convinced that Ukrainians will not let each other disappear in these difficult times. We are overwhelmed with gratitude when we see new receipts for "quarantine" needs – for families at risk who have lost their source of income due to closed jobs. Already 23 parcels with the most necessary medicines and hygiene products have been sent by Charity Foundation “Pomogaem” to families where children with disabilities grow up. And new and new stories are being sent to us.

Alisa has been living in ICU since her birth. She was born almost without intestines, and is “fed” intravenously. Her neighbours – twins Kira and Kirill – weighed just 800 g each at birth. Due to immaturity of gastrointestinal tract, they need parenteral feeding (intravenous feeding) too. The unit always has such children. Their fragile life depends not only on the doctor’s skills and modern equipment, but also on the availability of vials with amino acids and lipids, which are sorely lacking in the ICU. Help feed the kids!
Such different voices in the handset. Tearing and hysterical. Tired and indifferent. With a touch of resentment and bitterness, with rhetorical questions. Voices of parents of seriously ill children. We tirelessly collect funds for the treatment of children and forget that their life and health are 90% dependent on their parents. From how much mental strength they have to fight, look after and rehabilitate, seek help, burn to the ground and be reborn again. This fee is for psychological assistance to parents of seriously ill children, which is more relevant than ever.
Vlad needs medicine. His mom needs protection. They both need something to eat. Vlad has been living with a serious genetic disease since his birth, and now he is at risk because of Covid-19 pandemic. But his mother cannot be under quarantine restriction, because her salary and her son's pension are all the money they live on. In addition, the boy's mom is one of those who has to go to work while others stay home, Natalia is a pharmacist.
Nastia is a child with an unrealistically great desire to recover. "A fighter, a wrestler, a positiv, a shy, a cunning and a little pretty girl, all in one child! I love her, she is my life, my everything", the mother tells about her daughter. Nastia is the mother’s pride. One thing is for sure: everything that this girl suffered in the last 5 years, not every adult could stand it... In April 2015, Nastia was diagnosed with Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura, a chronic form of relapsing course (severe course). Primary immunodeficiency is in question.
Yegor and Anton are twins. They are twelve years old. They are very different, but both have a fighting character. It helps Yegor in achieving numerous victories in Greco-Roman wrestling competitions. When it comes to Anton, it helps him conquer a serious illness, which from childhood hasn’t been allowing him to live a full life. Anton has a severe form of cerebral palsy. Therefore, for the past twelve years his parents have made every effort to improve the condition of their child. And Yegor devotes every obtained medal to his brother, puts it on his neck with the words: “I really want you to get well!”.
When a long hope baby is born, a mother is primarily concerned about his/her health of course. And only due to her observancy and pediatrician’s competence it is possible to timely determine deviations in the development of the child during the first days of his/her life. Especially if the life of a child with cystic fibrosis is put at risk. Although cystic fibrosis (mucoviscidosis) is the most common hereditary disease, it is not always diagnosed at an early age.
If you have ever been in a hospital, remember: how often did a good mood accompany you there? We assume that only when they found out about the upcoming discharge. But a good mood in the hospital is worth its weight in gold: it increases the number of endorphins in the blood, which directly affect the immune system, that is, the ability of the body to fight the disease! To raise the level of these endorphins is the main purpose of our favorite team "Doctor Clown Dnipro".
The birth of a baby is accompanied by a scream informing the world about the appearance of a new person. Unfortunately, for many of them have it is a cry for help. The meaning of intensive care is to help vital organs (lungs, heart, intestines, etc.) cope with their functions. This often requires the use of necessary manipulations and mandatory continual monitoring of the child’s condition using sophisticated equipment. There are situations when it is necessary to help the baby’s breathing, and then through a special tube brought into the respiratory tract, it is connected to the lung ventilation apparatus. Moreover, in order to understand how each blood cell is saturated with oxygen, a constant study of blood gases is carried out.
