This dream Boyars Nadia from August 2016. That's when she was diagnosed with acute T-cell leukemia. Since then her dream – a family, children, quiet life only exists in dreams. Incurable lung cancer gradually deprives a person of oxygen. Quite literally: the tumor blocks the bronchi and there is less and less room for inhaling. Many other tumors metastasize to the lungs, and the result is the same: the ill person gasps for breath. Stroke, heart failure again: it becomes difficult to breathe. When somebody lives his or her last days suffering from pain and shortness of breath, it is a common thing, isn't it? This stereotype is no longer tolerable! When the lungs and the heart cannot work properly, an oxygen concentrator can provide breathing.
The diagnosis of "glioblastoma" for most people in Ukraine is a verdict. This most aggressive malignant tumor "settled" in the brain of a 16-year-old athlete Nikita Maletsky. The chance to destroy malignant cells and with that a chance to live is given to the boy by the German physicians. They are ready to start on Nikita’s treatment with modern methods of anti-tumor vaccination and immunotherapy.

From the disease there is no escape, you cannot hide, tears and requests for mercy can’t help, this disease cannot be defeated! But I'm trying very hard! Every day I fight for every breath, every millimeter of skin."

In 2014, after the treatment, which had lasted a year and a half, and 18 sessions of chemotherapy, parents of Dania Sirota, heard a terrible word “recurrence”. Shock, confusion and resentment. Just half a year has passed since the completion of the treatment. They have just returned to Zaporizhzhia hoping to get back to living like all normal families. This was the news, which threw all – parents, relatives and friends off balance. But not Dania.
It is important for everyone to feel safe, to be able to hug their parents. Especially for children affected by cancer. They get this opportunity at the only center in Ukraine which is called Dacha. This is a unique center where children from all over Ukraine who had cancer or undergo treatment at the Cancer Institute are recovering and living with their families for free. And during the time of Dacha project implementation, we provided over 1 000 children with accommodation.
