The availability of a laptop, smartphone and accessible Internet is no surprise to anyone. New technologies are developing very fast, and even a child can learn programming. But does every young person have the opportunity to buy their laptops and even get an IT education? This is especially true for youth from the risk category – the graduates of boarding schools, orphans and children from crisis families.

Until recently, blind children could be educated exclusively in the conditions of special schools, which in Ukraine there are only 4 (Lviv, Kiev, Odessa, Kharkov). In 2011, the Lviv Regional Fund of Social Protection and Recovery of the Blind – USI organized inclusive education for blind children outside a special boarding school.

Vlad is 32. He has visual and hearing impairments, scoliosis, stuttering and the 2d group of disability (according to the Ukrainian system). Vlad has graduated from the 9th grade of a boarding school. It has been 10 years already and since then he did not study and could not get a job. In 2017, he became a student at the “TAK” art workshop. Vlad is the most diligent student in the workshop. He learned to sew and to make felt toys. He is always ready to undertake any kind of work and even to move mountains. Recently at one of the Kurazh Bazar Events, he got his first salary for selling artworks from the workshop. After that, he fixed the tap at home and bought his mom a purse as a present. It was such a touching moment, that his mom could not hold back her tears.
Once there were 38 parrots, 39 = 2 (although it turned out 3), and now 40 = happiness. Forty is happiness :) I thought about what to dedicate this collection to and understood that it was equality and happiness. This is a unique space. Inclusiveness. I want people with disabilities to have work, their interests and their lives over time. The same. As we have with you. I write and cry, this is something between happiness, that I can do everything myself and pain, that someone needs much more effort. The whole universe of faith and support. The workshop is needed so that they draw, make, sew, communicate and study.
Did you prepare everything for your child to go to school in advance or have not made it yet in the daily hassle? One way or another, you know how much you need - new clothes with shoes (do not forget about classes in physical education!), practical backpack, stationery, and also ribbons-bows, because a girl is a girl and she wants them. It is especially difficult for the mothers of our wards who have been struggling with serious illness since their children birth. All money is spent on the treatment, these costs are constant and do not leave any opportunity for savings. But you want your child to have everything necessary for school, to look good, be equal with other children! Will you help our special moms with their school issues?
Almost every day in Ukraine, 1 child with Down syndrome is born. Almost 100 children with Down syndrome visit the Early Development Center of the All-Ukrainian charity organization Down Syndrome every month. For 15 years of existence, the foundation remains the only one in Ukraine who works with such children on such a large scale, systemically and professionally. During the activities of the Center, it was possible to support more than 1 000 families from all over Ukraine, to preserve joy and peace in them, to give hope for a new future for their children.

Hello! I am Olia Rudneva, and April 2 is my birthday. For 15 years I have been working in charity, I have the best job on earth, and I am a very happy girl. The last 8 years, I refuse gifts to save someone's life. This year I decided to take a break, and instead of over tasks to save the world, ask my friends and acquaintances to raise money on a computer for my girlfriend Uliana Pcholkina.
