Little Katya continues to fight sarcoma. Light like as a sun, the girl really wants to go home. But Katya needs to go a long way to recovery. This wonderful girl is already familiar to UBB donors. In August, Katya turned 5 years old, but the mood of the baby is not festive. The little girl underwent two operations: during the first, the enlarged lymph node was removed, and during the second (in July) - the doctors immediately removed the tumor itself. "The second operation was very difficult and difficult," says Katya's mother. Confirmed diagnosis: embryonic rhabdomyosarcoma, very high risk".

His every day is a day of struggle with a rare and horrible disease. In order to win life, a little Vasyl’ko needs not only daily massage, exercise therapy, and breathing training – even in order to eat, the baby needs help. "Due to the progression of the disease, our boy lost his ability to swallow and is fed only through a probe. Very expensive special nutrition is required for this. We kindly ask all good people to help our son", Vasyl's mother says. And it is necessary to respond immediately, because without probe nutrition the child may die from exhaustion.
Do you remember Romchyk? Look how big he is! A year ago, we managed to help the boy with medicines for surgery and further treatment. Roma was discharged home. All year long his parents were engaged in the boy’s rehabilitation. He had to learn everything from the beginning – to speak, to sit, to interact. In less than a year the boy made his first steps. The recovery process cannot be interrupted but now the parents are in a difficult situation and cannot afford to pay the next treatment course.
In May, Evgenii was 18 years old. In early December 2017, the boy entered the hospital with a diagnosis of pneumonia. But, alas, the treatment did not bring positive results. Simultaneously, he was examined by various specialists and oncohematologists put a terrible diagnosis: T-cell leukemia. Zhenia is an adult and he understands what kind of illness he has to fight. For a while, Zhenia was in a depressed state. But the guy still managed to survive. During the next block of HT, he suffered a cerebral hemorrhage.
In early August we are going on a week-long backpacking trip in the Carpathians. Our team will be really unique! Fast summer days of serene flying and soon the schoolchildren will again call for a school bell. However, now not every mother can send her child to a light heart school, knowing that the child has everything she needs to learn. In addition to textbooks, these are notebooks, pencils, pencils, paints, albums and many more, it would seem, trifles, without which, however, it's difficult to imagine schooling. We, the employees of the charity fund "Caritas", meet every day with such families, where there is hardly any end to ends, where there is only a small amount of money for the most necessary products, and the language of the purchase of toys and stationery is not even mentioned.
The neonatal pulse oximeter is used to monitor vital signs in nursing the premature infants. In 76% of cases, this method of examination makes it possible to suspect heart disease development immediately after birth. At present, there is no equal device in the sense of simplicity and effectiveness of diagnosing cardiac pathology in infants among the screening methods of pulse oximetry.A medical pulse oximeter for children is designed to determine the pulse and measure the oxygen level in the arterial blood of young patients. Doctors know how difficult it is to get such parameters, especially when using invasive methods.
Maxym Knysh is only fifteen. Until recently, this young man lived the life of an ordinary teenager: attended training and was in competitions, cycled, played in the ball and made plans for the future. And since December last year, he is forced to fight for his life with a serious disease – lymphoma.
School, rehabilitation, again school – in such a way Vitalii lived for sixteen years. And then the boy suddenly lost his sight. The examination revealed cysts of the brain. Vitaii had several surgeries and everything seemed to be fine. And then a tragedy again: the boy fell into a coma and for six weeks he didn’t come to his senses. The doctors make efforts to awaken Vitalii and to prepare him for one more operation but he constantly needs drugs that are not available in the department. And his parents have no money to buy them.
