When the birth-giving is preterm it is vital to ensure the nursing conditions that are close to the intrauterine. This is called the "growth-oriented nursing" and it is of particular importance for the physiological postnatal development of the preterm born child. In the mother's womb it is warm, dark and quiet, also the baby there is in the natural physiological position.

What did you like the most in your childhood? The warm and comfortable embrace of parents, their kind and gentle hands, right? Our little Preemies, nursed in the department of care of prematurely born children of Berdiansk Territorial Medical, are in need of this warmth. First weeks of their lives are a test of strength. Testing with the light, loud sounds, cold and the absence of mother's hands. They stay in incubators, personal boxes, which are their first home, first protection from the surrounding world, first bed.
Bright light hurts the eyes, something rattles all the time, it's cold and laying is not comfortable. This is how the world meets the Preemies, their first home is a plastic box – the incubator. First bed of a prematurely born child is towels and cloth, they feel cold, it is loud all around and it is scary. They'd be better off being wrapped in mother's embrace. Unfortunately, sometimes the child has to stay in the incubator for a long time and that embrace is only scheduled and short time.
32 million children worldwide suffer severe hearing loss. According to statistics from the Ministry of Health, there are over a million people with hearing impairments in Ukraine and over a hundred thousand people with a deafness diagnosis. Almost every day we have to overcome various barriers because in our country the overwhelming majority of institutions and institutions are designed for those who hear and speak well. It turns out that society pretends that people with hearing impairments simply do not exist.

Рэп Шмеп Йо Кураж Базар - a real paradise for lovers of street sub-cultures. Flea market, performances of artists, DJs playing hip-hop, tuning cars, graffiti, instabilisy from clips, tattoo studios, dances, a large inclusive children's area, a restaurant food court and a big charity goal. In August, we raise funds for the rescue of premature babies, who are nursed in Chernivtsi Maternity Hospital No. 1.
Prematurely born children cannot breathe through the mouth due to their physiological characteristics. They breathe only through the nose! After birth, such a child is on artificial ventilation for some time, because an epithelium of the child's respiratory tract is damaged, though it is restored over time. This damaged epithelium, along with the mucus that is physiologically produced in the respiratory tract, exudes and rises to the upper respiratory tract (nasopharynx, mouth, nose). Mucus (sputum) accumulates and creates an obstacle to the air that the child breathes.
Jaundice of preterm infants is observed in almost every child who was born earlier than the term. It is a result of an underdeveloped enzyme system that is incapable of coping with a large amount of bilirubin (yellow pigment). Evil bilirubin can lead to complications in baby's liver, so the treatment has to be quick and effective. The purpose of our project is to help doctors of the Sumy Oblast Children's Clinical Hospital to save babies from jaundice in the department of post-intensive care and nursing of the newborn.
Small hands, small legs, little kids. Babies born preterm are so tiny that they can sometimes fit into a hand of an adult. So far, doctors cannot determine all the causes of premature births, what exactly is the reason and how to deal with it. But there are methods of treatment and nursing that save lives of premature infants. After all, the life of a child, born with all underdeveloped organs, is a problem that is solved only due to modern methods of treatment and use of modern equipment, which sometimes replaces the functions of all vital organs.
The neonatal pulse oximeter is used to monitor vital signs in nursing the premature infants. In 76% of cases, this method of examination makes it possible to suspect heart disease development immediately after birth. At present, there is no equal device in the sense of simplicity and effectiveness of diagnosing cardiac pathology in infants among the screening methods of pulse oximetry.A medical pulse oximeter for children is designed to determine the pulse and measure the oxygen level in the arterial blood of young patients. Doctors know how difficult it is to get such parameters, especially when using invasive methods.
