Folk wisdom says: "If everyone gives a thread, the poor man will have a shirt". We say: "If everyone of us will donate one brick, the poor, ill and homeless people will have a hospice". Every person can sympathize, feed or warm up the homeless, but only when united we can do a miracle: create for the homeless a real home and opportunity to feel a human being that will live and finish his life on the earth with dignity. Our organization is working with homeless people for more than 10 years. The main our achievements in this work are a created community of the homeless which counts from 30 to 40 regular members, owns its living building and working premises, and the most important is being on self-maintenance.

One of the most beneficial ways to take care of older people’s health and comfort is through personal hygiene. No one is safe from old age and diseases that cause problems with the normal functioning of the body. But how many are able to show respect for the person and respect the "noble old age" when a strong unpleasant smell is heard from a person? Imagine that many elderly people cannot go out for food, medicine, to medical facilities, sit as hermits at home, and one can only dream of some kind of social activity or the possibility of visiting public places.
After calculating how much one month old man's life costs, it is concluded that this figure is equal to the cost of just one dinner at a restaurant or one subscriber training at the gym. We understand that for everyone this is a conditional comparison, but we believe that you can give up many not very basic things and allow yourself to give the lonely old man another month of life. That is why we appeal to each of you and sincerely ask to help raise funds for the purchase of food for the elderly.
Childhood-youth is the most wonderful period in human life. And it is very important to use this happy time with maximum benefit! Better than travel, humanity, perhaps, has not yet come up with anything. In addition, any journey gives a lot of knowledge, memories, feelings and emotions. Unfortunately, our friends do not have such emotions, because most of them have not known for a long time what tours, walks or trips are. Our friends are children who find themselves in difficult life circumstances.
We ask you to help raise funds for creative workshops for children at the Onco-Hematology Department of Zhytomyr Regional Children's Clinical Hospital. Up to 30 children are permanently treated at the ward. This small group of superhero kids every day has an extremely difficult time fighting for their lives and going through intense battles. Many children have many years of cancer treatment, often going beyond the hospital, which limits their communication and makes it impossible to study. In addition, it is all accompanied by constant painful procedures and their unpleasant consequences (hair loss, gastrointestinal problems, nausea, exhaustion).
Two hundred children from the families in need are waiting for presents on the Saint Nicholas Holiday. We are asking for a donation for buying gifts, so that every child even if parents cannot afford the holiday, would get presents to feel happy, needed and loved. Together with Charity Foundation “Caritas Kyiv” it is easy to do holiday miracle! Every child is waiting for presents and sweets on Saint Nicholas Day, but some parents can not cover even their basic needs and afford holiday gifts. Some children do not have parents, but they still dream about sweets and presents.
St. Nicholas Day is a celebration of mercy, warmth, joy, kindness, and love. I want to believe that it will remain forever in the memory of little children, and, perhaps, when they want to help those in need. Good deeds are always relevant, and they acquire their characteristics and charm on the eve of Christmas and New Year holidays. Our dear benefactors, helpers, like-minded people, and caring people, we turn to you for help for 10 families raising children with terrible diseases (cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, cancer, orphan patients). Left alone with their problems, such families spend a lot of resources, effort, and finances on the treatment and maintenance of the life of their seriously ill children.
For 17 years, our foundation, Caritas HOBF, has been trying to do everything so that people who are in critical life situations feel dignified, believe that their life can get better. It is sad and painful to see every day the despair of these lonely, elderly people, the extreme poverty in which they somehow have to survive for a penny, for which it is difficult to buy at least something so as not to die starvation. We are talking about such a level of poverty when you have to choose whether to buy bread or essential medicines for the last money when you pay for utilities and you have to eat almost nothing until you receive your next pension.
The second month of autumn begins on a special date. October 1 is the International Day of the Elderly, proclaimed by the General Assembly of the United Nations. And in Ukraine, it is also Veterans Day. This day is not just an opportunity to remind everyone of their human obligation to be caring and compassionate to the most respected part of society. It is also a reflection on the future destiny of mankind, its culture, the interconnection of generations. More than half of lonely people need help in their daily lives, especially today when many retirees are the main source of life for a pension that does not support a normal life.
September 1st is just around the corner. Among the children who will soon go to school are those who will not have basic things for learning, such as notebooks, pens, pencils, paints, pencil cases, and school bags. Each class has children whose parents are not able to buy them the basic necessities. We want to provide children from low-income families with school supplies for successful studying, and thus give them a holiday.
