In addition to the joyful expectations of the beginning of the school year, there is such a difficult thing as preparing for school, which is a rather difficult task for families in difficult living conditions. They do not have the ability to buy backpacks on their own, because in addition to it, many other things are needed so that the child can study at school. Will the joyful holiday of the First Bell for 50 children of the Children and Familу Center of Caritas Volyn Foundation depends on the good and not indifferent people!

We cannot but help. Her name is Halyna. She has 4 children. Last year her children received 2 school bags with necessary stationery for her children. This year she has come to ask whether she can count on our help in preparation children to school. We were nearly ready to say "No, as we have many children and for the sake of equal opportunities try to help a new family each year". But suddenly we turned our look down and saw that the woman’s child standing near her was wearing shoes with the sole falling apart and being tied to the shoe with ordinary lace. "For sure, yes, you can count on our support.
Already the middle of summer, and this means that not far off and the holiday of the First bell. Whether this day is festive for first-graders from families in difficult life circumstances depends on each of us. Charitable Foundation "Caritas Kharkiv" wants to help 25 first-graders from families in difficult living conditions.
What brought you joy in childhood? Probably, like many others – it's games, a lot of friends, street fun, swings, and other entertainment. Most of all, it would not be desirable that, at first glance, such a usual joy of children passed our wards, among them orphans, children, and teenagers from unreliable and crisis families. These kids dream of playing tennis and tennis, but it can become a reality thanks to your indifference and donation.
For parents, apart from the joy that the child goes to the first class and the satisfaction of the fact that their son or daughter will continue their studies in the next or graduate class, on September 1, they also bring financial troubles – because the burden of "procurement" of school supplies falls on their shoulders. And for families who are in difficult life circumstances, this is a truly global problem. Can a child count on a new hometown and quality schooling if parents are not able to provide it with full nutrition, medicine, hygiene, and clothing according to the season?
Homelessness is a big social problem in our country. Losing a home, people also lose the place where they can satisfy the basic needs in food, hygiene and rest. Several years ago our organization founded shelter for the homeless with the aim to give the second chance for a better life for homeless people ready to fight for their lives. Also, every year we arrange a common celebration of Christmas and Easter for the homeless and needy people of our town, to remind them about the better life they deserve. This year we are waiting for 100 people to come to Easter breakfast and ask you to help us to purchase food for preparation of Easter breakfast and making of food kits.
Good deeds are always relevant, and especially on the eve of Easter Holidays. Dear our benefactors, assistants, like-minded people, and caring people, we appeal to you for help to conduct an Easter rally for the wards of our project “Home care for displaced persons in Eastern Ukraine” and support the elderly on the eve of the Resurrection Bright Holiday. Most of them were left without family, documents, and houses and were forced to move to the territory of a foreign, but hospitable Kharkov and Kharkov region. Did they want to meet old age in an unfamiliar city and be alone with their troubles?..
We ask all of you who are not indifferent to the plight of a single mother, Nastya, and her infant triplets, to help us acquire a twin crib for the babies. He husband has abandoned her and their three children, and her relatives are not offering any assistance either. The family has been left without any means of support, as no help whatsoever is forthcoming from any relatives. The assistance provided by the government doesn’t even cover the cost of diapers and food, and the babies are in urgent need of cribs which their mother is unable to find the money for. The family is currently being assisted by the Caritas Kyiv Charitable Foundation.
Help us buy reeds (sticks), elbow crutches and walkers to older people. Imagine how tomorrow those who for years have been isolated in 4 walls and have not seen the “white light” will be able to move freely with their housing, go out to buy food, medicines, and medical facilities. These people will not only improve their living conditions but also rehabilitate and recuperate, lose their isolation and feeling rejected by society, find new friends!
Good things are always relevant, and they acquire their peculiarities and charm on the eve of the Christmas and New Year holidays. Dear our benefactors, helpers, like-minded people, and careless people, we turn to you for help for 10 families bringing up children with terrible diseases (cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, oncological diseases, orphan patients).
