Anastasia Dmytrieva was born on December 18, 2014, in Khmelnytsky Regional Perinatal Center. Due to difficult labor and a medical error, the girl was born in a critical condition and was brought back to life with an adrenaline injection. The following two weeks Nastia spent in intensive care on a ventilator. Then, in spite of her difficult condition the girl together with her mother were transferred to Khmelnytsky Children’s Hospital’s pathology department, where Anastasia was placed in intensive care and was connected to a ventilator again.

Halyna Melnyk is a mother whose son Maksym suffers from cerebral palsy, which prevents her boy from fully developing alongside his peers. Maksym cannot enjoy warm spring days at school or favorite children's entertainment during the summer holidays because he is just learning to walk after a tendon-cutting surgery on his legs. Maksym managed to take his first steps only at the age of 10. The boy’s condition is not just a diagnosis for him – it is a challenge and hard work which the ten-year-old boy faces every single day.
Bogdan is 14. He attends a regular school, receives excellent marks, he is interested in computers and writes interesting stories. His parents are proud and happy that they have such a son, but Bogdan’s diagnosis overshadows their joy. The boy lives with a rare genetic disease – osteogenesis imperfecta: his bones are so brittle that they break from any careless movement or kick. These children are called "crystal". Due to the disease, Bogdan was born with broken legs, and when he was 10 years old, he already had 25 fractures: his legs got broken every 3-4 months.
On November 25th Maksym turns nine years old! But the boy does not dream about sweets, toys or fashionable gadgets since Maksim's biggest dream is the ability to walk with his mother around the park, play football with friends and rush headlong to meet the wind. Although spastic paraparesis gradually recedes, Maksim still needs specialized treat from rehabilitators.
Two brothers – David and Daniel – were born pre-term: after prolonged anoxia David twins born as a result of C-section 6-month period. Doctors were given virtually no chance of life boys... Twins was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. In time, Daniel began to develop and be stronger, but tiny (1 100 gr!), David spent 1.5 months in intensive care until his condition was stabilized. At the age of 1, he weighed only 4 kg. My mother began to look for David necessary treatment, but because of the disruption of all lung procedure was postponed.
