"Duchenne muscular dystrophy". This diagnosis was heard by parents 5 years ago when Dania was 6 years old. The disease is genetic and orphanic, that is, rare. There are sick only 5 children per 10,000 population. The horror of this disease is that all the muscles are gradually refusing to function. The disease begins with the legs, progresses upwards and ends with the lungs and the heart... At the age of 12, without the necessary rehabilitation, constant exercises and medications the child can no longer do without a wheelchair. Without the necessary rehabilitation, Dania's life is limited to 20 years.

Dear donors! Everyone who faced with the problem of child disability is familiar with the feeling of fear and helplessness before this grief. A handicapped child is a child, whose pain and experience of existence cannot be expressed in words or comparisons. Also, moms and dads, in families where children with disabilities grow up, in spite of any difficulties, every day, make their parental feat. They don’t only accept their children as they are, but often try to show people that such children are also happiness.
Kseniia's life history is her patient history. The baby got on the operating table right after birth. Two operations were done simultaneously then: a spinal hernia in the lumbar spine was removed, and the brain was shunted because of the diagnosis of hydrocephalus. Congenital pathologies of Kseniia include the luxation and subluxation of both hips, paralysis of the legs.
Aliona is a young mother. Together with her loving husband, she is raising a wonderful baby Tymofii. What else could a young family want? Raising a son, enjoying their life together, making plans for the future… But the family’s happiness is overshadowed by Aliona's disease, multiple sclerosis. The young mother cannot move without assistance, as the disease has hit the spinal cord. Her legs are impossible to control, so she is chained to a wheelchair. The treatment costs 425,000 UAH. This sum is impracticable for a young family with only the father employed.
