Does a child who will never go to school need to learn how to read? Do we need to look for ways to sit up a child whose muscle tone is too weak to hold him/her in an upright position? Does a child who cannot see need a bed linen with a bright children’s print? Does a child cease to be a child if he/she is diagnosed with a grave illness? We all need to ask these questions, and there’s nothing wrong or awkward about it. We need to ponder it for ourselves. We become stronger if we accept life with all its dimensions, in all its fullness. In your mind, allow the children with incurable diseases to be just that, children. Help them be children in real time.

Around 15 000 000 children in the world are born preterm annually. On average it is every tenth child. Parents of sick children probably are the strongest in the world. They devote all their time to kids, help them how they even can, give all their strength, love and warmth of their hearts. But after endless visits to hospitals, queues for medicines and prayers for the health of their most precious son or daughter in the world sometimes parents are not able to give kids the opportunity to feel real child’s happiness.
"I often see the same night dream – morning, the warm sun is touching the cheek of my daughter. Wake up, my dear, the new day full of adventures is waiting for you – school, friends, games, laughing, running! But a dream is terminating by the heartbreaking siren of an ambulance, I'm returning to reality and again understand where I am: a small hospital room, bad, smell of medication and naked white walls of the hospital, which became our home for already several years.

The country suffers from a real war, whereas another war, and in the hospital – with leukemia. It cannot even be seen, it can only be felt by the ache in each cell. Right now, the boy is adapting after the complicated bone-marrow transplantation. It caused internal bleeding, which lead to severe dehydration.
