This is a unique center where children from all over Ukraine who had cancer or undergo treatment at the Cancer Institute are recovering and living with their families for free. Bush is a dog with a damaged spine. He used to live in a house guarding his masters’ property until the day when the drunk neighbors decided to spend some time shooting the neighbor’ dog just for fun. The bullets hit his spine. When the volunteers were taking the dog, they were offered to put it down… But Bush survived! Dogs are not aware of their disabilities. They can lose paws, eyesight or even the ability to get up and move normally, but they still enjoy being alive! They want to keep on living!

Cystic fibrosis (CF or mucoviscidosis) is the most wide-spread genetically transmitted disease. Not so long ago people with this disease could hardly hope to reach 20 years of age. The Happy Child Foundation is raising money to purchase devices which would replace the huge oxygen tanks in clinics: oxygen concentrators. They will be given to the sick children of Zaporozhye region, whose parents will never be able to save enough money to purchase the expensive equipment on their own.

But very often they do not have someone to play with them. Parents of hearing kids do not encourage their children to communicate with the deaf, and sometimes hinder such contacts. But under certain conditions, deaf children reach a high level of development in speech and hearing. This development is greatly assisted by prosthetic hearing aid devices. Unfortunately, most cannot afford them.
Children, getting treatment by anticancer medicaments at Ivano-Frankivsk Children's Hospital, constantly suffer from chemotherapy medicament side-effects. Patients are too weak: they spend time laying down on their beds. We want to make their staying in the hospital comfortable by special medical beds purchase. These tilting (surgical) beds with handrails can be regulated and tilted. They are not so much for children, but for their parents – because parents have to move, to wash their child.

There is no money left however for the last 3 courses that have to be undergone and all possessions which could be sold have been already sold. To continue the treatment it is necessary to raise nearly UAH 100,000.
