This is my 5th Marathon and this time I will go on a distance with a baby inside me, so I'll walk on my 5 km... but I never thought of not going to start at all! As long as I have a voice, as long as you see and hear me, I will go and talk. On behalf of those people who are not even counted. On behalf of those who can not breathe, who are suffocating alone at home or in the cruelty of the hospital chambers. They exist, there are thousands of them, they are alive, they suffer. And we can help them.
Diseases that lead to critical damage to the lungs and oxygen deficiency are various types of cancer, and birth defects, and injuries, and chronic conditions acquired during life ... Often people with serious heart disease, as well as patients who have survived a stroke, begin to suffocate... Nobody knows how many such people live in Ukraine, we do not have any, even approximate, statistics, such people are not counted. And there are thousands of them. They are real. They live in houses, by which we pass every day, in neighboring apartments, in the families of our colleagues, in our families... It is just not usual to speak about this. Inconvenient. Even a little bit embarrassing – as it stuck in the Ukrainian mentality from the realities of the Soviet past.
But I think that "inconvenient" it's, on the contrary, to pretend that they do not exist. All project funds are directed to the purchase of oxygen equipment and consumables. If you recalculate their cost for the period of work, it turns out that 1 hour of breathing, 1 hour of life without the torment of shortness of breath is worth... 50 cents. By donating our project with 12 UAH, you give a person a whole day of free breathing. And all together, we will help dozens of people for years ahead.
To breathe is normal. If you can, here and now, help another person and save her from suffering – it's normal to do this. Just do it!
1 712 850 UAH for good deeds instead of gifts! That is how much money has been collected in the framework of the project "Змінюй світ. Даруй своє" thanks to initiative Ukrainians who devoted their special dates and holidays to those who need help.
