A temperature sensor is a tiny while an extremely important element within a sophisticated climate system for nursing preterm infants: an incubator. These are specifically incubators that successfully substitute for mom’s belly for little impatient ones who have rushed to come into the world before the day fixed by the nature: they help little babies to adapt to the aggressive environment where it is too cold, too dry, too bright and too noisy. Thanks to special sensors, these wonder cradles help to automatically control humidity and temperature, thus creating the necessary conditions for their guests to assimilate, grow and flutter into the world, healthy and strong.

Lisa Trilenko has been struggling with a terrible disease for a year now. Lymphogranulomatosis or Hodgkin's lymphoma has crept unnoticed and does not want to let girl go. Part of the struggle is over, but there is still a long and difficult path ahead. Patience, perseverance is not all that Lisa and her family should stock up on. Still need money, a lot of money for drugs. And here Lisa can not do without our help.
This nice fellow’s name is Misha, he is 8 years old. He is very happy, curious and the best child ever for his parents. At first glance, it would seem that he is a very active kid, who likes playing with a toy construction set and jigsawing puzzles. But due to very serious disease – spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) – this boy can’t move his legs and live a full life. Despite this terrible diagnosis, he attends school and has lots of friends there and beyond.
The appearance on the world of 28 weeks of pregnancy with a weight of 1400 grams for a baby does not carry anything good. Reanimation is the first place where it falls. Yaroslava himself did not breathe, did not eat, was connected to the apparatuses. It was impossible to predict doctors, because the lives of the children were on the verge. Three months in intensive care and the girl started to grow a little. There were forces to breathe and eat milk on their own. Mum with a kid is discharged home, but warns that the child may have cerebral palsy. And this was done, after a year the doctors were unanimous in the diagnosis.
According to statistics, every year in Ukraine, about five thousand children with congenital anomalies of the cardiovascular system are born, of which 30-40% of patients are assessed by doctors as critical. Without surgery, 42% of these patients die in childhood, with almost 90% under one year of age. The life of more than 800 children can change the heart surgery by installing a cardiac implant (occluder).
The life of little Misha began with a heavy loss: a month after the birth of the boy, his mother died. This was a heavy blow for the whole family, and little Misha experienced this event especially hard. It is so hard that now when he is more mature, he constantly asks: "Are you my mom?". Now the boy is 5 years old, he is smart, he knows how to count, he knows the words of many songs and almost all the colors, but his body still does not obey him.
Even doctors call her the resistant Tin Soldier. Three months ago, we were telling a story about the striking struggle of an extremely strong woman – against death. Breast cancer stage 4 will be had to put the point – Iryna was almost blind in one eye, and metastases hit her head, lungs, bones, and muscles. However, neither a disappointing prediction, nor a lack of money, nor a betrayal of a husband who left at the most difficult moment, nor a sick mother, who also needs care – all this did not break her.
Elena is 42 years old, she is a mother of four children, a furniture designer, and volunteer. In winter, she had a sore throat, as often happens, at first a little, then more, and then so unbearable that it became difficult to breathe and speak. Further events began to unfold so rapidly that did not have time to recover, or is it with her. The local ENT doctor sent her to test for tumor markers, and they immediately showed that stage 3 throat cancer, with metastasis. From that moment the shock has not passed until now.
An innovative project from the Ukrainian Philanthropic Marketplace, LINGVA SKILLS and the Ukrainian Institute of the Future, which will allow launching an effective mechanism for free learning of the Ukrainian language for everyone who wants to improve the level of knowledge of the Ukrainian language, primarily for: government officials, teachers, Russian-speaking citizens of Ukraine, including immigrants and those who are in the occupied territories.
Despite her small age, Sofiia Zbara managed to see a lot of pain already. At the age of almost 5 years, this baby was diagnosed with blood cancer. The disease for a long time vomited out of the usual life of a girl and her mother. For almost a year, Sonechka and her mother Yulya “lived” in the Dnipropetrovsk hospital. Severe chemotherapy blocks, as well as grueling radiotherapy sessions, are long gone, but the treatment is far from over. In the treatment of leukemia, there are almost always complications caused by the drugs used. And the situation with Sonia is no exception.
